What are the main tasks that make up your daily work routine?
The most challenging part of my job is working with clients to define objectives and translating them into powerful designs. I try to strike a balance between the specific circumstances of a project and the requirement of designing interiors with a distinctive atmosphere that appeal to the emotions.
How do you handle unanticipated challenges during project implementation?
When challenges arise it’s crucial to proceed in a structured way without losing sight of the project’s aim and the client’s needs. In complex situations I analyse all the relevant factors and develop alternative solutions. Flexibility, thinking on my feet and problem solving are key skills in my work and come in especially handy when everything doesn’t go according to plan.
How do you find inspiration for new projects?
For me, inspiration is like a light unexpectedly turning on – it can happen anytime, triggered by the smallest impulse. Sometimes it comes at the wrong time, and yet that is precisely when it can produce the most exciting ideas. That’s why it’s essential for me to stay curious, consciously perceive impressions and details, and allow myself to be enriched with new perspectives. The secret lies in holding onto these impressions and transforming them into thoughtful and creative solutions when the right moment comes.
What do you need at your work station at all times?
Coffee, ideas... and a healthy dose of creative chaos!
How do you relax after a long day at work?
I go back home to my family.
