How long have you been working for Dobas AG?

I’ve been working for Dobas AG since 1 March 2021.

Where did your professional journey take you prior to your current position?

I started my professional career with an apprenticeship as a carpenter. Later, I finished my vocational studies to become a qualified interior designer, as the field of design very much appealed to me. Subsequently, I was employed in the events and trade show industry.

What are your main tasks as a project manager?

From conceptualising to implementing plans, I coordinate and oversee both projects and subprojects. In doing so I am the contact person for everyone involved.

How do you stay informed and, more importantly, inspired?

Actually, I am open to inspiration each and every second. It can happen while making observations in everyday life, but also while travelling. I’m often inspired by materials while I’m working with them.

What materials make your senses tingle?

At the moment I’m really into upholstery fabrics, which I’d like to explore in more depth. I only leap for joy when there’s a truly harmonious combination of several materials.

What’s lying around your desk that might seem unnecessary to others but is important to you and your motivation?

To me, a full cup of coffee is truly indispensable! Sometimes, this causes the cups to collect unnecessarily, as I often do not put them in the dishwasher straight away after I’ve finished…

What building and/or space has left a particularly lasting impression on you and why?

The Florence Cathedral. When you walk towards it on Via dei Servi, you get a breathtaking perspective. The building towers far above the «small» historic city centre and takes on a whole new dimension.

What fills you with joy and pride in your professional life?

Managing to successfully achieve unique and exciting projects as part of a motivated, collegial and close-knit team.

What brings you joy in your personal life?

I am fulfilled by shared moments with my girlfriend, my family and my friends. Having those shared experiences and memories makes me really happy.

How a Cloud Turns into a Plan

To ensure highest possible precision, we use a 360-degree laser scanner when taking the measurements of a space. Planning then proceeds based on thousands of data points gathered this way.
