Fifty One East – Multi-brand Boutique
Shop design and project implementation plan for a multi-brand boutique in Doha Festival City Mall.
We’d already had the privilege of working with Fifty One East on several previous occasions. One of our projects for the luxury retail provider was to design a boutique in Lagoona Mall Doha. In 2021, we were asked to do the shop design and project implementation plan for a multi-brand boutique in Doha Festival City Mall.
They wanted us to unite three independent brands with individual corporate identities and designs in a 112-square-metre space and create a separate lounge area. So we developed three shop concepts with different materials, uses of forms and layouts. Fifty One East ultimately decided on a combination of features from two of the concepts.
Copper-coloured metal plates are a central element of both the shop and façade design. Laser-cut hexagons were custom designed and produced for this multi-brand boutique. The structure of the wall covering and the striking, six-sided lamps complement the shop layout, replete with diagonals, in a balanced way.
After the shop design was finalised, the baton was passed to the folks in our planning department, where they made an implementation plan so that Fifty One East could build the multi-brand boutique with local partners. The boutique in Doha Festival City Mall was finally completed in early 2022.
