How long have you been working for Dobas AG?

I joined the team in August 2023.

Where did your professional journey take you prior to your current position?

I began my professional career by earning a Swiss federal certificate as a bank clerk. After five years, I left the banking sector and gained international experience as a marketing and management assistant. A little while later I had the opportunity to change to the event management team and worked all over Europe. Above all out of personal interest I took the “Interior Architecture / Interior Design” course at the Institut fuer Innenarchitektur in Zurich, which ultimately led me to Dobas.

What main tasks does your daily work involve?

I support project management in drawing CAD plans as well as in all the tasks that might come up through completion of the interiors.

How do you stay informed and, more importantly, inspired?

From the world around me, social media, various digital resources and trade magazines. I get the most inspiration from nature and travels.

What materials make your senses tingle?

Wood is definitely my favourite, but actually I love any material with natural origins that can be left as untreated as possible.

What should not be missing from your workplace?

I always have some almonds and cranberries within arm’s reach, plus a bottle of water.

What building and/or space has left a particularly lasting impression on you and why?

A mountain cottage in Coal Creek, located at 2,700 metres above sea level and surrounded by forest and countless hiking trails, left a particularly strong impression on me because of its sustainable approach. The cottage is built exclusively from regionally sourced wood and recycled materials. In addition, care was taken to minimise the surrounding ecosystem. The building has a solar power system and an efficient water management system. For example, rainwater is collected and treated for recirculation. It is a wonderful example of how architecture and nature can coexist in harmony, without making compromises to functionality, comfort and homeliness! This sustainable approach inspired me and made me realise that we can have a positive impact on our environment.

What fills you with joy and pride in your professional life?

Working on a team where everybody shares their enthusiasm for interior architecture.

What brings you joy in your personal life?

Spending time with my family and friends, if possible in the mountains or far away from crowds. In the summer preferably on a hike and in the winter on a snowboard. I love travelling and discovering new places.
