How long have you been working for Dobas AG?

I've been working for Dobas since April 2021.

Where did your professional journey take you prior to your current position?

Since my father worked in interior construction, the field was already present in my childhood. Over time, I gained deeper insights into the industry, ultimately completing an apprenticeship as a draftswoman for interior architecture. After that, I became interested in technical aspects, which is to say everything that goes on behind the walls. That’s why I decided to study for a professional qualification as an energy consultant, which I obtained in 2015.

What are your main tasks as a draftswoman?

I mainly support our key account manager Josef Heer with drafting and administrative work in addition to helping the drafting team with current projects.

How do you stay informed and, more importantly, inspired?

I get inspired by a wide variety of things and situations. Especially when travelling, I always discover a lot of new things that fascinate and thereby also inspire me.

What materials make your senses tingle?

It’s often the combination of materials that does it for me. I particularly like it when apparent opposites harmonise, for example, modern and old or metal and wood.

What’s lying around your desk that might seem unnecessary to others but is important to you and your motivation?

My coffee glass with a straw, lots of lists – I’m a list freak – and my favourite hand cream from Rituals. Otherwise, as little as possible to stay focused.

What building and/or space has left a particularly lasting impression on you and why?

The Azulik Eco-Resort in Tulum! The way it is constructed is quite extraordinary. The buildings are made primarily of wood and other natural materials. They look like elaborate treehouses and blend seamlessly into their surroundings. In many places there are no proper walls or windows so the guests can enjoy the fresh air and nature. There is very little artificial light, relying instead of natural light and candles.

What fills you with joy and pride in your professional life?

Something that everyone wants: a motivated, satisfied team and appreciation. I also truly enjoy tackling and mastering new challenges time and again. When it comes to drawing, I’m eager to maximise the software’s capabilities in order to optimise work steps.

What brings you joy in your personal life?

To be exhausted after a training session or go exploring in hiking boots. I like to balance the daily office routine with sports and hiking.
