How long have you been working for Dobas AG?

I’ve been on the team since February 2023.

Where did your professional journey take you prior to your current position?

I completed an EFZ apprenticeship in carpentry and afterwards I did further training to become an interior decorator. Since I have always been very interested in interior architecture, it was my dream to find a job like the one I now have at Dobas.

What are your main tasks as a draftswoman?

I draw up plans. I get all the necessary information from the project managers and builders, including whatever requests the client has.

How do you stay informed and, more importantly, inspired?

Through my work. And in my free time, I poke around a lot on the internet and research everything and anything that has to do with interior design and furnishings.

What materials make your senses tingle?

I like wood best – my personal favourite is oak. But it should be used in quantities that allow the space to radiate a calm and cosy atmosphere. Too much oak can be «oppressive», but everybody has different taste, of course...

What should not be missing from your workplace?

I can’t be at my desk without my notebook and water bottle. My folding rule also plays a very important part in my day-to-day at work.

What building and/or space has left a particularly lasting impression on you and why?

I find Frank Lloyd Wright’s Fallingwater building in Pennsylvania very impressive! Unfortunately I’ve never seen the house in real life, but I’m deeply fascinated by its architecture.

What fills you with joy and pride in your professional life?

I am proud and very happy that I finally found my dream job.

What brings you joy in your personal life?

Spending time with my loved ones makes me happiest of all. Seeing them happy and healthy is a beautiful thing! My hobby is also very fulfilling: when I’m furnishing and decorating I don’t feel time passing at all.
