How long have you been working for Dobas AG?  

My first day of work at Dobas was 20 June 2022. 

Where did your professional journey take you prior to your current position?

After completing my drafting apprenticeship, I stayed loyal to the retail sector for another six years. After that, I worked for ten years in the construction of medical practices. When I was hired by Dobas it was me going back to my «retail roots», so to speak.

What are your main tasks as a draftswoman?

I make CAD plans together with our project managers and the interior design team.

How do you stay informed and, more importantly, inspired?

I go through the world with open eyes and get inspired in that way. I talk with experts in order to stay up to date.  

What materials make your senses tingle?

Natural materials like wood and stone are my favourites.

What should not be missing from your workplace?

My dog Max – he can come into the office, which makes me really happy and motivates me. 

What building and/or space has left a particularly lasting impression on you and why?

I am fascinated by the Sky Garden in London from every perspective. The skyscraper may not win any awards for its looks, but I find the shape exciting, getting wider with each ascending floor, which makes more space for the botanical garden, viewing platform and restaurant. The three uppermost floors provide a spectacular view of the whole city. A fabulous place to spend the evening.

What fills you with joy and pride in your professional life?

When I can see what I put on paper in real life and truly feel the joy of my customers. 

What brings you joy in your personal life?

When I have the privilege of spending the day with my favourite two- and four-legged friends in nature. Whether it’s the nature at my doorstep or in faraway places.
