How long have you been working for Dobas AG?

I have been working for Dobas since April 2016.

Where did your career path take you prior to this position?

I started my work life in a trustee’s office. 1991 I completed my apprenticeship as administrative assistant, later I acquired a certificate as marketing planner and sales coordinator. Afterwards I enjoyed some international atmosphere at the company Nielsen. The universe of market research fascinated me for over 20 years! After a fertile break – literally, because our third son was born – Patrick got me enthusiastic about re-starting my career.

What are your main tasks at Dobas?

I support the company in the areas of finance and marketing. I am responsible for the accounting as well as the pay rolls and I help out with the quarterly and yearly reports. Furthermore, I organize our corporate events.

How do you keep yourself informed and inspired in particular?

With help of our external trustee’s office Leanrun AG. And I stay inspired thanks to thousands of numbers which want to be put in the correct places.

What materials make your senses jump for joy?

Everything dotted. And in more abstract terms: numbers!

What odds and ends can one find on your desk, which aren’t essential for your daily work but for yourself and your motivation?

I have a weakness for gummy bears and my coffee cup should always be within reach.

Which room of your home would you re-design and which ideas would you bring to life?

Our laundry room! It is grey, cold and not really motivating. With some color I would like to spend even more time there. I leave all other rooms to my husband Patrick, he does that very well.

Professionally speaking, what fulfills you with delight and pride?

When the bookkeeping is correct at the end of the year and debits and credits are in balance. And our company’s success, of course!

And what floods you with feelings of happiness in private terms?

Our three sons Ueli, Lois and Nile keep boosting my endorphins. And our garden. I love to see how nature adapts to the seasons.
