How long have you been working for Dobas AG?
I've been working for Dobas since April 2016.
Where did your professional journey take you prior to your current position?
I started my professional life in a fiduciary's office. In 1991, I completed my apprenticeship as an administrative assistant and later acquired a vocational degree as a marketing planner and sales coordinator. Afterwards I had a taste of an international work environment at the Nielsen Company. The universe of market research has been fascinating me for over 20 years! After a taking a creative break – or a pro-creative one: this was after our third son was born – Patrick got me enthusiastic about re-starting my career.
What main tasks does your daily work involve?
I support the company in the areas of finance and marketing. I’m in charge of accounting and pay rolls, and I help out with the quarterly and annual statements. Furthermore, I organise our corporate events.
How do you stay informed and, more importantly, inspired?
With help of our external fiduciary's office Leanrun AG. And I stay inspired thanks to the thousands and thousands of numbers that want to be put in the correct places.
What materials make your senses tingle?
Anything with polka dots. And, in more abstract terms: numbers!
What’s lying around your desk that might seem unnecessary to others but is important to you and your motivation?
I have a penchant for gummy bears and always like to have my coffee cup within arm’s reach.
What building and/or space has left a particularly lasting impression on you and why?
Villa Villekulla – We only saw a «copy» of it in Sweden... I would love to live like that, in a house with a veranda and a big garden. But without a monkey and horse.
What fills you with joy and pride in your professional life?
When all the debits and credits have been correctly entered at the end of the year and the books are balanced. And our company’s success, of course!
What brings you joy in your personal life?
Our three sons Ueli, Lois and Nile keep boosting my endorphins. And our garden. I love to see how nature adapts to the seasons.
