How long have you been working for Dobas AG?

I joined the Dobas team in February 2022.

Where did your professional journey take you prior to your current position?

My career began with a carpentry apprenticeship. While working as a carpenter, I had the opportunity to perform a variety of activities before earning a continuing education degree as a project manager. I worked in this field for five years before becoming a project manager at Dobas.

What are your main tasks as a project manager?

As a project manager, I oversee the planning, execution and handover of various projects. I am the intermediary between the various project participants.

How do you stay informed and, more importantly, inspired?

I stay inspired by going through life with open eyes and ears. Talking with other experts and researching online are always great sources of new ideas and inspiration as well.

What materials make your senses tingle?

As a trained carpenter, it is still wood. Especially oak: it has remarkable qualities and is also visually very beautiful. Not just as a raw material, but out in the forest oak trees are a real highlight. They exude strength and stability.

What should not be missing from your workplace?

A bottle of water and a granola bar. When my thoughts begin to stagnate, these two things are usually a good remedy.

What building and/or space has left a particularly lasting impression on you and why?

The SUMMIT One Vanderbilt! Towering above the streets of New York, up on the 91st floor of the building, there is an observation deck enclosed in glass. At night, in particular, the mirrored space 335 metres above the ground provides a magical atmosphere in addition to spectacular views of the sea of lights of New York.

What fills you with joy and pride in your professional life?

When a project is handed in to happy customers after a successful team collaboration.

What brings you joy in your personal life?

When I have the privilege of having an adventure with my friends and family somewhere in the world.
