Draftswoman Interior Architecture
How long have you been working for Dobas AG?
I have been working for Dobas since December 2017.
Where did your career path take you prior to this position?
In 2008 I completed my apprenticeship as draftswoman with focus on architecture. After my degree I stayed at my apprenticeship company and then I’ve started my position at Dobas. In 2019 I did a further training in the area of interior design planning.
What are your main tasks as draftswoman interior architecture?
I draw plans, complete purchase orders and support our project managers. Also, I am responsible for supervising our apprentices – together with Richard.
How do you keep yourself informed and inspired in particular?
For example, thanks to furniture stores and exhibitions. The World Wide Web helps as well – I use Pinterest and Instagram regularly, among other things.
What materials make your senses jump for joy?
A lot! Straight after a material’s look I am checking the haptics. I need to touch everything all the time…
What odds and ends can one find on your desk, which aren’t essential for your daily work but for yourself and your motivation?
You can always find emergency chocolate in my drawer. And there are some post-its with notes.
Which room of your home would you re-design and which ideas would you bring to life?
First, I would install a new kitchen – and because the space is open, I would also have to re-furnish the living room of course. I probably couldn’t restrict myself, I would have new ideas all the time and in the end the whole apartment would be re-designed.
Professionally speaking, what fulfills you with delight and pride?
When I can examine a successfully finished project in real life. Especially checking the details, which you can only really see when you’ve worked on them yourself.
And what floods you with feelings of happiness in private terms?
Exploring new places, good food and spending time with my family and friends.
