How long have you been working for Dobas AG?

My first day of work here was 1 November 2022.

Where did your professional journey take you prior to your current position?

My professional journey started with a carpentry apprenticeship, followed by a technical diploma and ultimately a university degree in Interior Architecture at the Lucerne School of Engineering and Architecture. During my studies I worked as a draftsperson and project manager in the field of wood-frame construction and interior design.

What are your main tasks as a project manager?

As a project manager I oversee various projects – from the planning phase to the handover of the project. In the process, I coordinate between the different project participants.

How do you stay informed and, more importantly, inspired?

I am inspired above all by my immediate surroundings. By deliberately looking past the end of my own nose, I can get what wouldn’t find otherwise!

What materials make your senses tingle?

I’m a fan of all natural materials that are processed as simply and sensibly as possible. And when you add metal and/or concrete to them, the possibilities are endless and you can let your creativity run wild.

What should not be missing from your workplace?

Snacks, preferably some sort of nuts. And my notebook.

What building and/or space has left a particularly lasting impression on you and why?

During my studies we visited the former home of architect Otti Gmuer in Adligenswil, a municipality in the Lucerne District. It is not only the beautiful views that make the concrete building so brilliant. Since the interior spaces follow the terrain, the layout of the rooms over several levels is exciting. Lines of sight were skilfully created.

What fills you with joy and pride in your professional life?

Working closely with clients to plan and implement challenging projects that meet the highest standards of quality, precision and efficiency.

What brings you joy in your personal life?

Exploring nature with my wife and our dog Kayuh is something I really enjoy. Having a close relationship to my family and friends also makes me happy.
